What affects the cost of a concrete driveway?
Square footage, how much old concrete has to be removed and hauled, slab thickness and reinforcement, grading and drainage work, site access for trucks, and any decorative finish. We itemize these in every quote so you can see exactly what you are paying for. We do not publish prices because two driveways of the same size can differ substantially.
How long does concrete take to cure before I can drive on it?
Foot traffic is usually fine after 24–48 hours. Keep passenger vehicles off for at least 7 days, and heavy trucks or equipment off for 28 days, when concrete has reached most of its design strength.
Stamped concrete or plain concrete — which should I choose?
Plain broom-finished concrete is the best value and the lowest maintenance. Stamped concrete costs more because of the color, stamping mats and hand detailing, and it needs re-sealing every couple of years, but it gives you a stone or paver look in one solid reinforced slab. We quote both so you can compare.
Do I need to seal my new concrete, and how often?
We recommend sealing once the slab has cured, then re-sealing roughly every two to three years — sooner on stamped or colored work. Sealing slows water absorption, which is the single best protection against freeze-thaw damage and salt.
