Meet Harry Maxwell
Maxcon Concrete is a local, owner-operated concrete company working out of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. Harry Maxwell answers the phone, comes out to your property, writes the quote, and is on site while your concrete is poured and finished. There's no sales rep in between and no subcontractor you've never met showing up in your driveway.
That structure is deliberate. Concrete is unforgiving — once it's placed, you live with the decisions that were made about base prep, thickness, reinforcement, slope and joint layout. Having the owner making those calls on site is the simplest way to make sure they're made right.
How we work
We do residential and commercial concrete: driveways, patios, stamped and decorative work, sidewalks and walkways, steps and stoops, porches and entryways, pool decks, and concrete removal. We travel a 60-mile radius around Gibsonia, PA, which covers the North Hills, greater Pittsburgh, most of Butler County, and parts of Westmoreland and Beaver counties.
Our promise is boring and specific: show up when we say we will, build the base properly, communicate if something changes, and leave the site cleaner than we found it. Forms pulled, spoils hauled, driveway swept.
Commitment to quality and clean job sites
A lot of the concrete we replace didn't fail because of bad concrete — it failed because nobody compacted the base, or the slab drained toward the house, or there were no control joints. We'd rather spend an extra day on prep than come back in three years.
We also treat your property like someone lives there, because someone does. Haul paths get protected, landscaping gets worked around, and at the end of each day the site is tidied up.

Base prep done right
Most failed concrete in Western PA is a base problem, not a concrete problem. We excavate to depth, add crushed stone, and compact in lifts so the slab has something solid under it.
Reinforcement that matches the job
Rebar or wire mesh, fiber-reinforced mixes and thickened edges where vehicles turn — specified for the slab, not by habit.
Control joints in the right places
Concrete cracks; the job is deciding where. We tool and saw joints on proper spacing so cracking stays hidden in the joint line.
Built for freeze-thaw
Air-entrained mix, correct slope for drainage, and sealing on a schedule — so Pennsylvania winters and road salt don't chew up your new slab.
