How Much Does a Concrete Driveway Cost in Pittsburgh?

1. Square footage and shape

Size is the starting point, but shape matters too. A simple rectangle forms and pours efficiently. Curves, radius edges, turnarounds and parking pads mean more forming labor and more waste, which shows up in the quote.

2. How much has to come out

Removing and hauling an existing slab is real work. Thick, reinforced or double-poured concrete takes longer to break, and hauling costs depend on volume and the distance to a recycling facility. A gravel drive with nothing to remove is cheaper to start.

3. Thickness and reinforcement

Four inches over compacted stone with wire mesh or fiber is standard for cars and light trucks. If you park an RV, a work truck or a trailer, or if delivery vehicles turn on the apron, we go thicker with rebar and thickened edges. 4. Base prep, grading and drainage
